It’s like the old saying goes, “a team course makes the DreamForce,” or something like that. If you run a small business and don’t know about DreamForce, SalesForce’s annual event, you should! It’s a lot of fun, with dinners, workshops and all manner of training and other sessions available. Since a longtime client is part of the conference every year, I ended up there too to grab a whole bunch of images. Read on and see what an evening at DreamForce looks like!
First of all, what’s SalesForce? Both a customer relations management software suite (and one of the most popular in the world, to boot), and the company that produces it. This company is Marc Benioff’s baby, and there’s a name you’ll have heard if you’ve spent time in the Bay Area.
The annual event is a huge conference bringing together SalesForce’s own employees and customers alike, plus other industry stakeholders. Marc Benioff runs the kind of conference that takes over all wings of the Moscone conference centre, and has expanded not only to other conference venues, but even stadiums in order to host concerts; yes, Metallica was there last year!
Frequently, special events are hosted at dinner party hot spot Lazy Bear, and the thank-you party for their own conference group happens at Spin, a massive ping-pong-focused party venue. Accommodations throughout the city fill up pretty fast, and in the past, cruise ships have been brought in to offer overflow accommodations. This conference is that big.
